Post by: Shed Stud on May 01, 2012, 07:38:15 AM
Good luck to all you out there tick picking. Can't make it this year so there should be about 16-22 extra sheds for some lucky guys.

Went out this morning. Seemed like a lot fewer sheds than usual. I have a feeling a few grew legs prior to today.

I found three in the Joe Watt area.

The first one I found was from last year.  A little chewed.(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi3.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fy94%2Fhunterofelk%2F102_2398.jpg&hash=3d3da27fbdafaf34ab4f3afe613b2a8580d71643)

The next one will make a great fork for eating Mammoth steaks.

The last, a fair sized one from this year.

I went to oak creek but not the main area. Walked about 8 miles no sheds. Did find myself right in the middle of 4 or 5 rattlers and they were not happy i was there. Drove threw the feed area parking lot. One group of 5  had maybe 10 or 12. Another 2 guys had 8

I was there. it was a joke as usual. tons of people, and very very few sheds. 2 guys from naches got busted just before 6am with a pack frame full. didn't see a lot of people packing sheds. most had struck out. I had glassed a couple up in the sage 2 weeks ago, but they were gone before they opened the gate  :dunno:
