John ... I was thinking the same thing, and had decided I would use the silk fan it comes with if it looks like rain.

Looks good Al. That might of worked on the gay goobler.
I was thinking the same thing ... he dies next year for sure.   :bash:

Tell us how that works out when you put it to the test.

Looks great Turkeydancer. I did the same thing with my Killer B. I then pulled the wing feathers and used a hot nail to make holes, then shoved in the feathers and hot glued them on the inside of the decoy. It looks very realistic, I don't use it much on public ground unless I'm pretty sure no one is around.

Wings sounds great, need to get my hot glue gun out again I guess  ... I too wouldn't use it on public land or even close to it ... have had people cross a posted fence line, walk down the edge of a tilled and planted field, stalking my hen decoys ....   then professed ignorance about being on private, posted property.

Looks really good! I made a jake fan for my Jake decoy from my son's first turkey 4 years ago. Doesn't work so well here in Utah because the birds are so pressured it tends to scare off the young toms. I think I might try it folded down and partial strut. I did get a nice tom 2 years ago with it, so not a total waste.

I tried astrutter decoy with the smallest Jake fan(real) I have and the Boss Tom on the ridge hung up at 100yds for 2 hrs, that decoy will now be a Yard ornament from now on. Done with that deke.

I usually don't use dekes at all especially early in the season, but if it's field turkeys and they're not coming in I'll be definitely trying it.  That said however, it may become a flower planter "conversation starter" on my back deck ... or my next bow & arrow target .. or yard ornament ... or my car pool lane passenger ... or  :dunno:

Thanks ... was thinking about an eastern hunt this weekend, but figured the 80 degree temps would probably sweat me out ....
