Guys,
Thinking about making a hail mary trip over tonight to the northeast corner of the state and hunting all day tomorrow. Anyone have any reports about what the birds are doing? Are they looking for hens that haven't been bred yet? What is the heat doing to their gobbling activity?
Thanks for any input!

My wife listened to a hen call in a gobbler yesterday, he was gobbling hard the whole way to her. But not sure how long it will last, my advice is to hunt as soon as you can.

Well it was like I thought it might be.. definately birds around where I was but it took some work to find a couple hot gobblers.. little bit of gobbling in the morning but not much hapeening during the day ...we killed 2 out of the 6 we found but yesterday I thought I found the hottest bird on the mountain...and he was hot and flew down right on top me and landed about 65 yrds from me and gobbled his arz off at me for at least 10 minutes and would not take one more step toward me :bash: :bash: :bdid: but when he was in the roost with a few other birds he was making some weird freakin sounds I never heard before it was definately an experience I never witnessed before....then after all of that happened out walked BEAR # 3 ...Yeah bear every freakin where....I post some pictures in Bowhunters thread ..
