I picked up an SKS at a sale this weekend. $150 with a little over 300rds of 7.62, synthetic stock and bayonet. I don't need or particularly want an SKS but it was one of those things, to good to pass up.

Its not a Norenico, its one of the chineese ones which put me off a bit, but being it came with almost $100 worth of ammo I thought it was a good buy. Im still thinking I will get rid of it being I dont really need it but we will see.

A few months ago I traded a savage mkII f .22 for a nice Norinco sks. Including tax I had paid $140 for the savage. Then I put a Tapco T6 stock on it and sold it for $450. Then I sold a M44 mosin carbine and used the money from the 2 sales to buy a DPMS Oracle 5.56. I then sold the DPMS upper without BCG or CH for $300, and ordered a DS Arms chrome lined pre ban upper, Im still waiting on that.
Has anyone ordered from DS Arms? Im going on 2 months now and still waiting. Im pissed but if I get a chrome lined upper like I ordered Ill be happy.

Norincos are chinese
The China North Industries Corporation (Chinese: 北方工业 or 北方工業; pinyin: Běifāng Gōngyč; literally "North Industries"), official English name Norinco, manufactures vehicles (trucks, cars and motorcycles), machinery, optical-electronic products, oil field equipment, chemicals, light industrial products, explosives and blast materials, civil and military firearms and ammunition, etc. Norinco is also involved in domestic civil construction projects.
I bought one last winter. Mines a yugo or something and Its just too much fun. I also bought an AK. Just had to do it. I have so many hunting rifles that are built for accuracy that its nice to just have a couple that are just for shooting $hit and the sks fills the bill nicely.

No, but I ordered at Stag 7H 6.8spc upper through Legal Transfers LLC 7 weeks ago. It's still not here. If I had known that it wasn't in stock, and they were just having it drop shipped from Stag arms, I would have gone a different route. Stag arms lists a 5 week turnaround on uppers, but won't give me any answers as I didn't order it from them, Legal Transfers LLC did. Sucks...
