Post by: Scottystyle on May 22, 2012, 06:08:16 PM
Heading to Montana hopefully fror Antelope, and was thinking of putting i for Elk B or maybe Surplus Elk Combo. Has anyone here hunted this unit foe elk or either and is it worth it?  :hello:

Been there several times and have taken a few elk. Haven't been there for several years now as I had seen a decline. The elk in 300 get pushed into Idaho with pressure and don't seem to come back until snow starts to build. It's high elevation, 6000-10000+. The elk really move around in both units with pressure. Hunted 300 before and during any elk rules. I know it has changed now to brow-tine, which says the numbers are down. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help   If I at least get drawn for antelope, do you think it would be worth the 350 for a NR wolf tag? I would love to give one of them *censored*s a dirt nap  :chuckle:
