Title: Taxi called my 2011 Peaches elk is done
Post by: wall of wood camp on May 23, 2012, 09:53:18 PM: got the call tonight my head is ready to pickup from the taxidermist. Can't wait to go get it will post some picks after i pick him up. Just need to find time for the 6 hour round trip drive to get it.

The mount will presevre those memories for many years to come. probly won't pick up the head till next week the wife has camping plans for this weekend so it will be atleast untill then that i can post the after pic.

Post by: wall of wood camp on May 29, 2012, 02:20:48 PM: I never shot one big enough to worry about scoring it they have all been spikes so I didn't get to concerned with a score my hunting partners figured around 320 we will have to see how close they were once i get it back think i will be picking it up Thursday I will try posting another before pic into the msg for you bowhunter45

He looks just like he did when i first saw him coming out of the trees. glad I was able to preserve such a great memory. And on the scoring thing we were all off about the same ammount in each direction I asked what he scored and he tells me he scored out at 300 dead on the nuts. anyways i don't really care about the score just like the work he did and happy i had the opportunity to harvest one bigger than a spike. the picture doesn't show great detail it was a cell phone picture.

Good point their now ...Just using your fingers works well too !! :tup:
