So I have decided to post some of the pictures from my different trail cameras through out the year. I really enjoy seeing everyone elses pictures so I hope some enjoy mine too. I also look forward to following the growth of the bulls and bucks through out summer. I will update this thread whenever I check my cams. Hope you enjoy.

Large zip ties. 2 are zip tied to stumps. The third is zip tied to a stick that I pounded into the ground.

Yeah, they are about the toughest thing you could use and they are very handy to use especially if you have to attach to stumps and such. Also you don't damage anything when you attach to it.

Wow excellent pics Grundy. I need to get out and check my 4 cams and update my "3 month soak" thread. I'm moving two of my cams into the same type of reprod edge spots as you have there to try to up the action on bucks.
A couple of those bucks and bulls sure have some nice growth already! Thanks for posting.
-
SWEET!!!!!

Checked my cams today. Unfortunately I had a couple rascally elk that were not happy getting their pictures taken and decided to turn 2 of my cameras. One was still able to capture some ok photos but the other was pointed in some bushes and I then got 1200 shots of that bush :chuckle:. Oh well. Camera 1 was the bush one so only a couple pictures although I did get some babies.

If you don't mind me asking...where are these pics located. JUST KIDDING. But I would like to ask what you are using that the blacktail deer are coming into (it looks like there is a pile of something on the ground ).
Thanks.

Trace minerals from a feed store. Bucks and bulls like it when they are growing their horns.
-
Good to know about the trace minerals, I've been wondering what to use that the coyotes and racoons will stay away from. Those are some awesome pics. You've got some really good genes in the pool.
-
this makes me really reallly excited for hunting season good pics grundy.
-
:yeah: great pics and a very productive area
-
Went and checked the cameras today. Got pictures of quite a few cute little babies and my first bear of the year. The horns appear to be coming along nicely.
-
.
-
that baby always by its self

Good looking critters

This doe either escaped a predator or got jabbed with a stick or something :dunno:.
-
Great pictures, as always!
-
Great spot you got there!

I think that Mr Bruin is looking for a fawn to snack on! :yike:
-
I know it's only been a week but I bought 2 new cameras and couldn't wait to put them out and of course since I was in the area I had to check the ones I already have out... :chuckle:.

Seems there are a few goofy bucks in the area. Look at pic 2-12 and the background buck in 2-5.
-
Hmm seems like the Westsideis the place to go! Hope it's a 3pt or better unit, you should be in for a good season!
-
LOVING this post, great pics again. A couple good looking bucks, the close up is awesome.

Great pics thanks for sharing!
I really enjoy sharing my photo's so that others can enjoy them too. I'm glad people like this thread. Setting up these cameras and checking them is becoming more and more addicting. I never know what I'm going to get and I want to check them all the time. To me it's more of a form of hunting then scouting anymore, lol..
-
Went and checked my cameras today. I added 2 new ones and move another. Dang elk keep screwing with my cameras. They turned 3 out of 5 of them. luckily I could still get some pics from 2. I was unpleasantly surprised when I checked my first cam and found that I forgot an empty salt bag :bash: :bash: luckily it hadn't been drug off and I was able to pick up my trash. I felt really bad about forgeting it.

you have some dandy unique bulls in there!
-
I love that picture with the cow and the calf!
-
got some dandys there!

After some suggestions on here I decided to put one of my cameras on video mode. It's amazing what you miss. The pictures are nice but they are taken out of context and don't tell the story. The 2 still photo's are the ones taken in camera mode and the videos tell the story. I never would have known.

Went and checked my cameras yesterday. I wasn't too happy. Both my older cameras quit on me. Also one of my cameras wasn't pointed where I wanted it. That was my fault for not taking a test picture before I left (Complacency rears it's ugly head). Although both older cameras were bought used and have been out in the elements everyday for a year so I'm not too upset with them not quitting :chuckle: :chuckle:. Here is what I did get.

It doesn't appear that the cameras bother the elk too much atleast not the ones bedded down a foot from the camera :chuckle: :chuckle:.

What are they licking in the pile? The buck's like it. How early did you start it? I'm guessing that camera is inside Hancock somewhere.
-
Trace minerals from the feed store. I started putting it out the beginning of May I think they will quit using it as soon as their horns harden.
-
Went and checked my cams today. Got quite a few different bucks, a couple weird bucks, and some bulls sparring.

I had them using it all durning Oct and Nov and through the winter. the elk that is. the deer didn't seem as interested that time of year. Fawns and calves love it.

Yes he will. Hopefully my wall. :chuckle:
-
sweet pictures and what a great spot, Hope you still have traffic come hunting time. Thanks for sharing
-
That webbed out 4 point would be at the top of my list, he is awesome. You have at least a couple that are bigger, that one 4 point is a toad but the webbed out one is just awesome. I'm amazed how the amount of both deer and elk you have, usually for me its either one or the other, or some of both. Pretty sweet.
-
He is definitely on the top of my list. But I would be more then happy with most of these bucks.
-
No kidding. Which camera's are you using again? I'm about you go get a couple more after looking at these, my camera must suck
-
Grundy, after reviewing your pics for the last couple of months, i've come to the conclusion that we should go ahead and together this year!!!! :IBCOOL:
Those are some nice pics though!
-
I use Moultrie M-80's now. The grainier pictures are moultrie d-40's but I no longer use those.
-
*hunt together

sounds good ;)

Dang it man ,, Those are some awesome photos ...how about that palmated fellow !

The blacktails sure have good bone growth this year! Fantastic photo's

Great photos, you have got some dandy bucks!!

seriously! my 16 card is probably full by now...
-
Is it closed to walk in or bike in access?
-
Yes. And about 15 miles behind the gate.
-
Went and checked the cameras yesterday after almost 2 months. Unfortunatly 2 days after I checked them last a bull decided to jab a tine right through the senser on the camera that is in my most productive spot :bash: so I only got a couple pics on that camera. I did still manage to get over 2000 pictures on the other 2 cameras.

I just buy 50lbs bags of trace minerals from the feed store. They work great. Especially from april until august.

Decided to check 2 of my cameras one last time this year. Also going to post pics from one of my cameras I checked/moved during modern deer season that I haven't gotten around to post yet.

The doe and spike elk sniff the estrus soaked tampon.... but not the swollen necked buck.... :bash: :chuckle:

.
-
Pretty blurry but I think the first bull might be the smallest bull in the neighborhood.
-
Is that first elk on the top of pg 9 marking its territory..?
-
I got to check one of my cameras this week end. So I figured I would continue this thread into 2013.
-
Cool pics
-
Dang! you were on a roll for those bulls! Great series of pics. I see you use the moultries a lot i was thinking about buying one would it be worth it and which one should i get?

great clear pictures...very very nice...

Went and checked the three cams I had out. I was really looking forward to it since 2 of them were in new spots. I was disappointed to find that my most productive camera was stolen :bash:. I've had a camera in that spot for over a year and never had one person on it... oh well. Here are some pics I did get.
-
.
-
Cool pics, It seems your "clearcut cam" was the most productive. Was that the one that was stolen? I have had cams stolen and it sucks!!!
-
Yeah, that's the one that was stolen. Sucks but it's the risk you take. Oh well.

Some dandy BT's! keep up the good job!
-
That was REALLY cool seeing the progress of those elk & deer. Thanks for sharing!!
-
Went out shed hunting today and decided to check a couple of my cams. It's only been 2 weeks and apparently a slow 2 weeks :chuckle:. Didn't get many pics but I'm definitely going to be looking around not far from these cameras in a month or so when the bulls start losing their antlers.
-
So apparently you don't have any kind of bait out right now? You still got some great pictures. Did you notice your "Grundy 4" cam has the AM & PM wrong?
-
Thank you. No, I'm not currently running any bait. I fixed the am pm yesterday.
