I only wish that these metals could be proudly adorned on his chest or hung from his neck. I thought it was fitting to go out this morning and hang them on his tombstone.

His life had a rough beginning when his Dad was killed in an auto accident when he was 3. I raised him from 4 years old until about 12. I'm proud of the man he became.

Thanks for sharing...really brings reality to memorial day. Sorry for your loss.

Very somber picture...he was born 2 days before me and is way to young to have given the ultimate sacrafice for his country. He is a true Hero, as all our soldiers are for protecting this country that all to often takes them for granted.
Thanks for posting.

Pictures like that really make a person understand when they see freedom is'nt free.

I have no words that describe my feelings for you and his family that could express how much he has given.I have nothing but the utmost respect for our men and women who have given all for our country and others.God Bless you all...

Very sorry for your loss. It's terrible to see our soldiers are still dying over there in a war that should have ended with bin Laden's death. His service and sacrifice is greatly appreciated and should never be forgotten.

You have every reason in the world to be proud.
Sorry for your loss.

As long as we honor the fallen, and remember why they died, then they did not die in vain.
Thank you for sharing.
Now to get this damn sand out of my eyes so they will quit leaking...

Thank you for sharing and words cannot express my feelings for you and your family in dealing with the loss of a loved one who gave his life in the defense of this great nation, Semper Fi. :salute:

I thank each and everyone of you. Your thoughts and kind words act as a soothing ointment on an invisible wound, of which there is no cure.
Nathan was a son that any father would be proud of.

This has been a storm of a lifetime, I'm battered and torn, but not beaten.
