Congrats!

Good luck with that. There has been a hand full of big dogs floating around that unit.
Do you have some land to hunt?
-
I am working on the access. Thanks to Killer Miller, he is a Walla Walla boy and is helping me with that. Will be making some trips down soon.

I watched that bull during the 2010 archery season at less than 100 yards. We had actually been watching him for a couple of years. We called him "Growly" because of his distinctive bugle and we had him figured at close to 400". Helluva bull.
I don't think I would be holding out for a 400" bull though. I havent seen one in there that big before or since...

Oh yeah Just make damn sure you spend the next couple months doing homework, homework, homework!!!! Every angle you can think of do it! Don't rely on other and then be disappointed when it doesn't happen! Lots of private ground start by getting a land owner map for the area, get to where you know every fence, canyon, and the name that it belongs too! Talk to the bio! He will be able to point you in the direction of good people/grumpy people and who likes to work with hunters. :hello:

Congrats on your draw fishnate! I'd treat it as a OIL tag since the odds of ever drawing it again are pretty slim. Like 400out said, lots of private land with areas that are really parceled off. Sent you a PM.
400out - if you have any before pics of that bull still standing I'd love to see them. "growly" - fitting name.
Good luck Nate!

Which Blue Ck. tag?

I'll have to dig around, I think we did have a picture of him on the hoof 2 years before you killed him. Did you get to hear him bugle? It really was a "growl".
