Title: mtn view with the front stuffer
Post by: mtman on June 08, 2012, 06:32:20 PM
Drew the mtn view first time putting for the eastside. 7 points been waiting to put in for the east until I had some points. I Got some training to do. Any good photos of the area would be cool if anybodys got em. Ive only looked in to it from wikiup. It looks like no walk in the park.

Should be a fun tag! I will be up there same time playing with the elk and trying to kill a bear.

Ya 400 thats funny stuff. I know three people that drew the watershed and it seems to be just as nasty. one bull took five days to get out in the snow. another one took 2 and half days. The other friend was by himself and I think he was to intimadated by the area to even shot one. I just hope I can handle it.

There are some nasty area in there but there is also some not so bad (not flat though) you will work for it but could really be worth it  ;)

Im going to bring my sentra and a saw and see how close I can get. Maybe a shovel and the snow shoes too. I would drive my truck over there but then I could only afford to go scouting half as much.

I drew the tag at the best time. I was already training to hunt the north cascades for bear. So I just got to keep getting in better shape for the next couple months. I havent been working out as much as Ive wanted to. Been working on the side after work to try to pay for my scouting. Going back for a three day weekend the 13th - 15th. Earned enough to take the day off and pay for gas.

I have been riding my bike in to work 26 miles round trip. Thats all I can get in for work out right now. Come aug. I will for get about the money and just train and hunt bears.   I will be ready

Made it over to the blues again. They were pretty vocal this weekend. Had a great time over there went solo in there for the first time. Hard walkin and climbing in the dark. Had a tuff time finding my tent after shooting some video down in the hell holes. Glad to see the one I want still on his feet after a week of archery. 10 more days of archery and it will be up to me after that.

Maverick you need to find elk in different spots in that unit, A couple sq. miles of buring is not going to kill your chances. were they are buring is not that big of a deal in my opinion. 400 is thinking positive you should do the same you will feel better.

Nice job mtman you earned that bull. Did you kill him in that big hole were Brice got the 7x7? That's a awsome picture of sticker, you said he left the unit? Definitely a hard but fun hunt :)

Got to love the samurai!!!!

Oh and congrats on a great bull

Let that sucker dry and have it scored to enter it into the heads contest for the site. A muzzy bull a lot like that won it last year. I think phelps might have it this year :yike:
