Title: Goose Prairie bivy hunt
Post by: UBA on June 09, 2012, 09:02:18 PM: Hey guys my cousin got drawn for the archery hunt, lucky sob. Anyways we are already planning some scouting trips as soon as possible. Been playing around on google earth and seems like there is plenty of ground away from the roads. We are thinking a bivy style hunt is the way to go. Anybody ever try this? Can't wait to get in there and see some bulls this summer. Hopefully I can post some pics as soon as we get over there.

Scored 332 7/8 , had to pack him about 4 miles

I have been hunting it for the past nine years and know it really well so I am hoping to have some stories to share in September. Oh and I drew a cow tag for the unit as well! Should be a great hunt!

Bulls stayed up high, came down in the late evening to the meadows, and ran back up every morning early. Find a good spot to ambush... or a nice wallow to sit by.... :tup:

Hopefully we can locate some during scouting. We will see what we can turn up. Thanks for the response
