that's pretty accurate, i've seen some elk in there all the way up to the first couple of weeks of oct. and then little to nothing after that in the usual areas. Finding them now before the season is a must if you want to have a good chance.

Post by: Glockster on June 12, 2012, 10:34:15 AM: Thaks Plat. I've got 29yrs bumping around that hill. I often see elk rubs that are only a couple weeks old during mod fire....at some surprisingly low elevations. Look at the alder swamps (there's your internet scouting hint of the day).

Post by: armewu on June 12, 2012, 11:46:54 AM: There are plenty of Elk in that area. I was out there last year around this time up until early archery. Heading up there real soon to start scouting though. Hopefully we'll stick something!
