Wasn't sure where to post this, so it might need to be moved, but is there anywhere you can get more up to date satelite images than google earth? Or maybe aerial photos? Both are probably way to expensive... but would be saaweeeeet.

I belive the upgraded version of Google earth is more current but it cost some $$$$ I heard

I think Google gets them from various sources as often as they can for free (or cheap). I've found Bing sometimes has better images, either more up to date or a different time of year (say summer photos instead of cloudy winter photo). Some counties will have GIS mapping with aerial photos too.

The area I'm looking at the photos are from 2006, a lot can change here in the PNW in 6 years! I don't mind paying for an upgraded google earth if someone can tell me it is in fact better.
I will check out Bing and see how it looks. Something with a live feed would be nice... :chuckle:

This might restrict your scouting and hunting area a bit, but there are live feed cameras out there. Check out... http://www.zeitcam.com/webcams/
Your buddies can watch you hunt from their computers.

I've found the ArcGIS explorer program to have much better images than GE. I think the aerial data source is from Bing.

You can also go to whatever county's assessor website. Most have searches for address or parcel numbers and interactive map viewers.
