What really turns me off about these things is I'm pretty sure you can buy them for other people. You get these out of state people all giving their money to one person who actually drives to Washington and makes the purchase for all of them. My guess is we're going to see a huge increase in the number of permits sold July 10-13 when all the hunting agency types like Huntin' Fool come to town to buy raffle tickets for all their customers.Not sure how that happens, you have to have a Wild ID and you can't transfer your winning ticket.

There is a member on here that can attest to that...twice... in consecutive years.

I don't believe that. Any of those areas that have had one one tag in them can get by just fine with an extra ram or two taken out every now and then. Not every hunter is going to hold out for that 190 sheep or even pick the swakane as his hunt area. You can't stockpile game. In my opinion 25 late modern tags in the Entiat is too many too, I'd like to see it reduced to 10, 15 at the most.

To take it one step further, I would like to see one unit out of the Methow and one in Chelan change to permit only. It would be nice to see the trophy potential of a migratory area with limited pressure.

i for the first time since i was 12 will not be buying tags of any kind for myself, i bought my sons and also his permit fees which he drew none, butmy son will be huntn and i am taking a kid out named kellan he just past hunters ed and is all jacked up to go huntn, so i figure if my son gets his deer and kellan gets a deer it will be a damn fine year for me. even if i dont get to actually hunt for myself, i would rather watch a young hunter get their animals anyways :tup:

I'm for limiting the amount of tickets you can purchase to 20. It's highly unlikely though due to lost revenue. The Eastern Elk winner bought over half of the total tickets purchased. We need to have these big lot purchasers get burned a few times to cure the issue.
