Get them while they're hot!
-
Sure wish the WDFW could complete their drawings this fast:
Ticket orders must be received by July 9, 2012. Drawing held by July 13, 2012
-
Why not....it's worth a shot.

Get them while they're hot!
Where do we get them? (because one sheep tag this year isn't enough...)
My dad was looking into it and the clerk at the store said they had to be purchased through FNAWS?
-
An awful lot of area restrictions for a single raffle tag. The sheep hunts I would like to spend some gambling money on are not available for the winner of any raffle tag. Would sure like to see them open up a few more areas. Then I'd really lose some worked hours.

Yep. Click the little .pdf tab that I attached to the 1st post. Go from there.

Oh whoops! :chuckle:

Looks to me like WAWSF & WDFW are selling Rocky raffle tags, 1 each. I'll probably get both.

Oh Whoops! For me too. I didn't realize you were talking WAWSF raffle when I made my comment. I'll support that for sure!
:sry: I guess I need to pay more attention.

How many tickets do they usually sell for the WAFNAWS raffle? And how do they compare to the WDFW california bighorn or rocy mountain bighorn raffle compared to odds. I think I'm gonna blow some more money on one of them.
-
Hopefully we can get updates on how the ticket sales are going from WAFNAWS like we have in the past.

The WAWSF (use to be WA FNAWS) Raffle is the only only way to get a rocky mountain bighorn tag other than the general draw. Last year the WDFW had this raffle tag but WA Wild Sheep Foundation (www.wawsf.org (http://www.wawsf.org)) is once again the only place to purchase tickets. :chuckle:
-
The game regs are listing a Rocky raffle tag also? Looks like 2 to me.
-
It was last year but not this year as WAWSF declined the option to market the tag in 2011. I have a state fish and game terminal right beside me and it is NOT an option for purchase. But feel free to call WDFG to verify.
-
You do not need to be a member to purchase these raffle tickets correct?
It does look like a second raffle tag is available through WDFW raffle.
-
No membership required as it is the rocky raffle tag listed in the WDFW proclamation, but sold through WAWSF.
-
So the "Sold By: - WDFW" in the state regulations is a misprint?

Page 83 (Added May 24) The Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep raffle tickets are being sold by the Washington Wild Sheep Foundation (not WDFW). The purchase deadline for this raffle is July 9, 2012. Additional information can be found online at: www.wafnaws.com (http://www.wafnaws.com).
Guess I answered my own question.

Funny, the WDFW site shows 25 tix sold for the Rocky raffle, Are those WAWSF numbers?

The wafnaws page shows 739 as of today, so I'm pretty sure 25 is outdated.
-
WDFW made a little mistake and started selling Rocky raffle tickets even though WA WSF is marketing the tag again this year. We pointed the mistake out quite a while ago and were told those 25 people would be getting refunds (we have different prices so its not easy to transfer).
The tickets sold will be updated every few days. Lots of orders are coming in every day I am hearing. That's usually the case the last couple weeks after draw results come out. In fact, I better get mine in too!
As was mentioned earlier, this is the ONLY rocky raffle in Washington this year.
Good luck and thanks for supporting Washington rockies!

The 25 is just a place holder.
The number of tickets sold will not be announced on the WDFW site until after the raffle.
Tickets are $20.00 each.
-
The "25" tickets sold on WDFW page was the actual sales before WA WSF pointed out to the department that WDFW is not selling tickets this year. Those people were to get a refund from WDFW.
Current count for the Rocky Raffle is 2049 although I just picked up the mail with lots of new orders to enter.
The WA WSF count will be updated as quickly as our webhost can get it done. We email her daily now.
-
The WA WSF web lady must be on vacation!?!? She hasnt updated the last three sales totals that I sent her. Current sales = 3200 tickets.
-
Does anyone know the winner "Michael C. of Kent, WA"
-
Probably Carpinito & he'll probably kill a record book ram.
-
I wonder how many tickets he bought. He's won a few raffles I think. Or at least been close.
