Title: Storm at Alta Lake State Park
Post by: Lincoln4 on June 22, 2012, 10:04:53 PM: Had a thunder storm roll through a couple of hours ago. Knocked down several trees. The road in front of our campsite its closed due to a leaner. Quite a mess.

Back when I could ride my dirt bike all over that valley on the right side of the road you drive in on, 'bout every where else too. :chuckle: Must of eaten 100 perch from that lake..had the most worthy moment of my life there at 15. I swam out to the edge of the swimming area to pull in a kid that panicked and started going under.

I think the Whitleys are still in the area, Grandpa Louie's second wife Alta was one.
