About Hunting in Washington
Washington state is situated in the northwest corner of the lower 48 states bordering British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon and the Pacific Ocean.
Washington state has a diverse set of ecosystems across the state, including deserts, dense forests, craggy mountains, lowland rain forests, wide open valleys, canyons, big rivers and rolling hills.
All providing good habitat for plenty of game animals.
Complimenting the variety of Washington's terrain are some decent hunting opportunities including big game hunting for elk,
black bear,
mule deer, black tail deer, whitetail deer,
moose, mountain goat and big horn sheep.
There are many avid varmint and small game hunters who enjoy hunting for bobcats, coyotes, fox and the like.
The waterfowl hunting is usually very good in several areas of the state for ducks, canadian geese and snow geese.
Other sorts of birds for hunters are turkey, pheasant, plenty of grouse, chukar and quail opportunities.
Washington hunters are encouraged to participate in our forums and contribute to our community.
The purpose and intent of this website is to make an internet location where Washington focused hunters can share adventures, ideas and coordinate activities with like minded individuals.
