Heading down to Tillamook Bay tomorrow.
« on: October 13, 2008, 11:36:54 PM »
We are driving down to Tillamook Bay tomorrow for our yearly trip!! Last year it was just me and my oldest son. This year the wife and a brother-in-law are going also. We had a real good time last year. My son caught a 22lb and I caught one 28lb. Anybody else heading down that way this year? Or has anybody already been down? It isn't really hot fishing but when you do hook up it is usually a good sized fish. I'll take pictures if we are blessed with catching any and post a report when we get back.

Good luk its reeeeel slowwww. Nehalem is dead for Kings and Tilly is not much better. Its a ghost town in the bay and the nice days on the S Jetty are slowwwww too. But, they have to come soon! Hopefully you hit it right.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me to.

Well guys, we didn't catch any fish. There were four of us and about 1 1/2 hours into fishing, my brother-in-law got sick. Not sea sick, but some kind of attack or what have you from not taking his medications when he was supposed to!! We rushed him back to the dock and truck and headed home. He's going to his doctor today.
We did see eight or ten fish boated while we were out there for the 1 1/2 hours. Erik our guide said it was more action than they had been seeing for the last week or so. Neeless to say we were a bit dissapointed.
We are going back down next year and give it another try. The main thing is that my bro-in-law seems to be doing better.
