Very interested in Rabbit hunting this season. Anyone needs/wants a partner near Seattle let me know.

Take Care, and Good Luck,

I see most rabbits up high around dusk in the early part of the season.  Usually near the smaller alpine meadows.  Sit still and they start running past and bouncing around.

went out grouse hunting yesterday outside of doty and ran into 2 rabbits i didnt take the shot because i dont know how to prepare them so i let them walk even though both of the rabbits stood in the road for perfect shot i had to walk up to them to get them to move

if your serious about rabbit hunting i would say get a dog, you can catch a lot of rabbits even running a beagle solo. there are rabbits just about every where, there are areas that may hold more then others, but i have yet to go out with a pack and not run at least a few bunnies. i like to hunt the big woods and run washington hare/ snow shoes, but cottontails are what you want to eat.
i dont live that far north, but you could hunt vancouver lake wildlife area or the woodland flats area. they hold a lot of cottontails, i normally just run rabbits and dont kill, but last year i did a hunt swap with another member on this site and he got i think around 10-15 different rabbits to shoot at, and took 7 or 8 home.
dogs are the best way to be successful most of the time.
hope that might help a little
