it was bound to happen...
« on: July 10, 2011, 11:18:40 PM »
Well after getting almost 800 pics of elk in the past five weeks it really slowed down in weeks six and seven. We didnt even crack 150 on this last soak. the first 3 weeks we had mostly cows and just a couple bulls and almost all were singles. in weeks four and five there were tons of bulls and a few cows and the bulls started getting in bachelor groups of up to five animals. this soak was weak, a few cows a few bulls and some deer. they will be back so im not gonna get worried yet. still there are a couple bulls we have gotten pics of on all three soaks so im thinking they are living in there. oh and yeah the bears are pissing me off. both salt blocks were tore out of their holes and one camera was beat around on the tree. :bash:

this is the first buck we have gotten on camera, we saw him on our way in. they sure are getting red now...

[smg id=10591]

here is the culprit who is ripping the blocks out of the ground. cool brown muzzle.

[smg id=10592]

we have pics of this lil guy on every soak. he really sprouted in weeks 4 and 5 but has slowed down a little as of now.

Great pics! Hope they stay around for you. Which Tasco cam are you using?

I have 2 of the $40 amazon cam and one of the $50 walmart tascos. This was the first soak with the walmart tasco and I like it.

Good pictures! Looks like you got a good spot there

Nice shots!  good variety of critters in your spot.  Just deer in my hide, but that's what I expected for that area.  Might get some coyotes, now that I stomped down the tall weeds on the cam side of the trail.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I like the pics from your Tasco. I have heard some bad things about them but your pics show the tasco is a good camera. I may pic up a few to add to my inventory. Currently I use Mulitree, wildview, and wildgame which range between 1.5 to 5 megapixels with flash or IR. I have picked them all up from $50 to $75. I believe all the cameras over $100 you are paying for the name and not the product. I have been posting all my trail camera pics onto my facebook for my friends to follow.

That's one heck of a game trail that spike is on!  I like it.  No brainer on where to set up the camera.  Good looking pics.
