Arrow scam, Watch out for these guys
« on: August 18, 2011, 10:43:08 AM »
So a while back saw a link on craigslist for carbon arrows, decided to check it out. Did research on them and really found nothing at all. So called them to ask some questions and sounded pretty good. They had 1 dozen arrows for like 45 bucks, said they were like carbon express same quality etc. After awhile I said hell with it I will see what they got. So oreded a dozen of the procarbon ones. Figured I could use them for targets or sighting in long distance. Ordered them over the phone, over a week later still no tracking or shipping info, no arrows, so called the guy back up and he said something was wrong with my card, basically he wrote down the info wrong. So he said for the mistake he would send me a arrow rest or stabilizer. He finally did send the arrows and a rest. Rest is all plastic, looks like it should be on toy. Now for the arrows, good god they feel like they are plastic, and the nocks are super glued in and really really cheap, vanes are crap. I can visually see that some of the arrows are not straight. After getting the ok ones put together, had to put inserts in, I see that 3 of them have cracks in them. So now I dont even feel safe shooting them. I emailed them and told them what was up, they said in 2 weeks they were getting in new arrows and would replace the ones I have, I said ok. 2 weeks goes by I email again, nothing, then I email again, this went on for 1.5 months.. every week. Finally I get and email and says oh we will take care of you, when did you send the old ones back. Thats it. So I replied and told them "no one said to send them, I still have them". No answer or reply. So I call, leave a message, and then I call again, guy picks up I say my name he hangs up phone. I try back several times.. nothing.. So for a few months of hassle and 45 bucks.. I got a few arrows I might shoot with my re curve at stumps.

So what ever you do dont go and waste your money on the crooks. And they seem to change there name about every month to.

Out of the 12 I think I have 4 or 5 that dont show any cracks yet.. They were splitting at the nock and at the insert. Freaking scary.. would of ended up like the guys in the other thread how does this happen. >:(

I like how they stole pictures of Lee and Tiffany Lakowsky.. Good job guys!   :chuckle:  And advertising 1 arrow for 45-90 lbs of draw weight?   :yike:  Sure you may be able to shoot them, but, being the right spine for YOUR draw length and poundage is highly unlikely!

Thanks for the heads up to everyone!  Sorry to hear about your misfortune.  :bash:

Did you really think you could get a dozen quality arrows for 45 bucks?  :dunno:

Not quality but at least good enough to shoot. And with all the talk of money back and warranty I figured I was worth a try. Guess not.  :bdid:

It says on the site that the straightness tolerance is .009. That tells you that they aren't anywhere near straight...

Yeah I saw that to, so I asked him about it.. he told me they are more like 3-6 on the straightness.

Just kinda pissed me off that they kept telling me all this stuff and never stood behind it. I never once asked for my money back, just to get me some arrows I could actually use.

I have been buying Easton Carbon Storms from the local archery shop.  Something like $57 a dozen, cut to length and inserts, out the door.  I know these are far from top of the line arrows but I have shot the hell out of these things and never had any problems.  My buddies all use these arrows too.  they seem to be just as tough as some of the others I have seen.

if they are .003-.006 why would the specs say .009? Sorry but you were had. Hard to feel bad for you in this case.  :twocents:

Complain to Paypal if that's how you bought them. Don't know why people bitch when they can solve the problem when it's right in front of them.  :sry:
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
