What is Agenda 21?
« on: April 24, 2012, 09:40:08 AM »
What is Agenda 21?

This is a topic that all should be aware of.  It seems to have flown under the radar for quite some time.  Perhaps we should start asking our Representatives, Commissioners, and City Councils what this is all about.  There are several Washington counties and cities that have joined ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives).  ICLEI is connected to Agenda 21.  ICLEI is happening in our communities right now.  How will Agenda 21 and ICLEI affect our freedoms and private property rights?

You can find a wealth of information, written in laymans terms and very concise, on this white paper written a few months ago by someone well versed on the subject.

This is a MASSIVE effort to destroy freedom and property rights here in America, and they're succeeding.

to take it a step more specific, these are some of the activities that are going on in our current communities for the upcoming elections and most Recent prior elections.

The offer a "Community Bill of Rights", which sounds good, but is really "Not in My Back Yard, NIMBY" Development control vs. the representative form of government.

They have run Prop 4 in 2009 in the City of Spokane

Then ran Prop 1 in 2011 again in the City of Spokane

they just filed a very similar initiative petition to start gaining signatures for the 2013 election.

Here is a link to their current Initiative
http://www.envisionspokane.org/2011/08/17/community-bill-of-rights

Involves the followingbkey issues
  • Establishes the requirement that the proposer of a zoning change to get 50% of the neighborhood's registered voters to sign in writing in approval of said project.
     - point noteworthy - some neighorhoods have more than 5000 registered voters, and thus requires 2501 or more signatures to approve a zoning change.  In 2011, Envision spokane only needed to obtain 2778 signatures to get this issue on the ballot
  • Second point - It gives the Spokane river & acquifer inalienable rights that can be enforced by any citizen or group of citizens in the court of law

The problem lies in this that they can kill Spokane County's economy and impare the neighboring communities via only going after the City of Spokane.  And cripple the governments via imperilling the City Government in lawsuits over water rights.  No business would expand in Spokane, No business would relocate to Spokane, etc.

These were drafted by an attorney and Founder of the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund.  www.celdf.org  He is a using his out takes and ideas related to Agenda 21 to further this effort.  They are active in over 100 communities across the U.S. to include Spokane, Seattle, Bellingham, and Portland.

Scary stuff.  In 2011 the initiative was shot down, but the margin was only 50.6% to 49.4% or something very close to that.

Envision Seattle is collecting signatures for a single issue on corporate rights for the 2012 ballot for the City of Seattle as we speak.

Whacker.... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Those beasts never stop.  I remember prop 4 over in Spokane.  We fought that with fists flinging, and it took a LOT to wake people up there.  The people of Spokane woke up, though. Gotta give them that.  prop 4 was all it took to mobilize an army. WHen the people learn what Agenda21 is, they wake up real quick.

But...... waking them up is hard to do.

When people learn their property rights will be :relinquished", and after they lose their life savings, because they've been sued by a blade of grass, they'll wake up.  Problem is, it'll be too late then.

WAKE UP, PEOPLE..  Agenda 21 is a nightmare that's quickly becoming reality.

Find out if your city has signed that agreement, and if they have, GET IT REPEALED NOW AND FIRE THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPOSING IT IN YOUR AREA.

Most people have never heard of Agenda 21, ICLEI, or what effects it can have on private property rights or our freedoms in general.  Arizona is trying to pass a Bill (SB1507) to prohibit the state of Arizona and all political subdivisions (i.e. county commissiosners) from allowing Agenda 21 or any of its shadow organizations (ICLEI) to influence its governments.  If any of you know people in Arizona, have them write their representative in support of this Bill.

Link to the Bill:
http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/50leg/2R/adopted/S.1507JUD.pdf

This is real and it's happening now.  Look at how local Washington government entities have bought into ICLEI hook, line, and sinker.  They use taxpayer money to be members by the way.

This is on the Hunting-Washington forum because it can, and does affect hunting.  This is all about land use and private property rights.

The people of this state and this country need to wake up and see what is going on.

Well, you tell people that they are getting the short end of the stick long enough and the mob will eventually believe it. Communism is only a seemingly good idea if you don't have anything to risk it. Some people have been telling my generation for a while that everything we're owed is not given to us. Problem is I've never been owed anything. I don't let myself owe other people if I can avoid it. When you think you have nothing to lose, communism seems like a great idea.

Take a look at who signed up for the ICLEI memberships.  Perhaps people should start asking our representatives some questions.  There's nothing wrong with pursuing sutainability, but there is something definitely wrong with sacrificing our private property rights and Constitutional rights to achieve sustainability.  I suggest all citizens find out what this is all about and who's behind it.
