About 15 hours to go. I don't know if I'll make it out tomorrow, but I should be able to get out Thursday morn. I found a spot this spring that is only about a quarter mile walk. I don't know if my ankle is up to it, but I'm going to try. I think I'll walk in and blow on my fawn in distress call for a while. See what happens. Good luck everyone.

Taking friday off to get out there 'early.' But I don't think I can resist a slow, quiet walk in the woods Wednesday night though.

Bought new hunting boots yesterday, as well as a new leather holster for a single action 6 shooter colt .45...gonna try to use that on bear a few days this season.

Good luck all. Be sure of your targets and whats beyond. Be safe, have fun!

Good luck Drock. John and I are going up scotty road in the morning. there's a good spot about 3 miles in.  I'm not in a big hurry to fill my tag so early in the season. so i will wait for a dandy bear.
