multi season
« on: August 31, 2012, 08:07:00 PM »
So despite my feelings I thought I would get my multi season permit for deer. I went to sportsmans warehouse at 7 pm to get it. they had to call DFW who told them they could not void my regular tag and give me one because it was too late. They regs say specifically permits are available until Sept. 1. I know I was pushing it but 7 pm on Aug 31 is before Sept. 1. Really make me mad.

Being unable to purchase something on the very last day of a several month long period, after business hours, hardly seems like something to blame WDFW for. :twocents:

I posted on here more than once, warning people of that. You can't just go down to a license dealer on a Friday night and exchange your old tag for a multi season tag. They have to call the DFW in Olympia to get your current tag voided before they can issue the new one. Even 4:30 PM this afternoon would've been pushing it. Anytime after 5:00, no chance in hell.

Well I know I waited too long but since I called before the deadline and had it documented DFW called me today and sold me my multi-deer. Happy they stood up and took care of it.

hhhmmmm, this is interesting. they let him get his after the deadline. Heres my story.

My dad isnt able to go archery deer hunting so i said lets try and get it changed to a rifle tag. this was on friday day before archery started. so i called and she said ya he can do it since he didnt apply for any permits. she said she changed it in the system and all he has to do is go pick it up. well on tuesday he goes down and they said he only had 24 hours to pick it up so they wouldnt give it to him. Looks like $180 dollars is the magic word. think im gonna call them up and do a little chewing.

First of all I could not find anything in the regs where it said only can get it during DFW business hours only said anytime before Sept. 1. Second of all the did get me a deadline but since I documented I had till Friday to get it. I could not go to a dealer to buy it I had to do it by mail. Money did have something to do with it I'm sure. I knew I should of kept my mouth shut or someone would start complaining.

sure did and modern had not started yet. They honored it because noone who hadn't done it before would know you had to get it during DFW working hours. I was told to go to the dealer and they would void the tag and sell me the multi, not go to the dealer before 4:30 and DFW would void the tag and the dealer would sell me the multi. Sorry to hear of your problem. :twocents:

The next time Cabela's has a sale that "ends Friday", try going down there at 11:59 p.m. on Friday night and knocking on their door to see if they open up for you.

Sorry, but that's lame.
