Capitol forest has alot of deer and alot of open opportunity to hunt. Elk not so much. Small group by littlerock and some on the Elma/west side but I would call it poor hunting for elk. There may be more but I dont know about em.

Deer. Not enough elk up there to even bother trying to hunt them.
There's maybe 1 elk killed per year in Capitol Forest.

Yep, thats the truth and I'll bet more deer are killed by brush pickers poaching than all the hunters in that area combined,

agree there use to hunt it every year now i just like to go and watch the crack heads fight over camping spots, and live there year around. was a great area turned to crap by drugs.

Remember that you have to have a Discover Pass to be in Capitol Forrest.
