what rifle do you not regret selling?

did anyone have a rifle that shot terrible or kick like a mule , send fliers all over the target? that you couldnt get rid of fast enough?

I always thought it'd be fun to buy an AK or SKS...so I bought a nice SKS and did some trigger work, recrowned, and swapped out the stock.

I just can't live with a rifle that is known for 4-6MOA on average.
I fought and fought and fought to get groups to 3" @ 100yds...and even then they were rare, more like 4.5" avg...and only with hand-loaded ammo.

Then the "cheap" ammo went up over 50% so I sold it (for a profit).

It *might* have made an okay coyote run-n-gun rifle...but it was pretty ugly, and definitly didn't meet my accuracy standards.

I got a good deal on an AK a few months later...owned it for two weeks, loathed it, and sold it for double what I paid.

I'm back to bolt and lever guns.

Ruger Mini-14.

Back before Ruger was re-introducing the factory hi-caps, the aftermarket mags were horrible.  If you could find a factory hi-cap, they were $100 or more.  Accuracy was horrible.  It started keyholing one day and I sold it off.  For a couple hundred more, a guy can get a pretty decent AR clone and an endless supply of good quality aftermarket mags.

I love Rugers, but not this rifle.

I had a Parker-Hale 6.5 Swede that shot MOToyota door @100 yards.The hotter it got the better it shot. Glad to send it packin!!

I love my mini 14 rancher addition. Thing is accurate and its fun for coyote hunting or just loading it to the max and blastin alot of targets!

christensen arms 300rum it was very finicky to say the least, it did shoot its pet load well though.....it also broke every scope I ever put on it aside from a 4200.  I went through about 3grand in scopes and after it puked a new swaro I offed it.....good elk mountain gun.........good riddens!

Not a rifle but a shotgun.  An 870 Special Field.  Hated that damn thing.  What erks me even more was I traded a really nice 870 Wingmaster for that POS.

In 1977 I bought two used Weatherby Mark 5's a 7mm and a 300. Thought I was in  heaven, got them cheap. Chrono said Roy was a liar, targets said, "what ya shootin at"? after a few years,
The Gun Room in Portland said, I'll give ya this Rem. Model 7 .223, and a Rem 7 .308 for them, I took it. Didn't like them either.

i had a remington 700 in .300 win mag that no matter what would not shoot a group less than 10" at 100 yards it was the most inaccurate gun i have ever shot got rid of that thing as quick as i could and replaced it with my howa .300 wsm and havent looked back

Yugo M48 in 8mm.  This thing had bad machining and when I shoot 190 grain bullets out of it, it starts to dismantle itself.  The stock eventually split.  Now taken apart and sold as parts on Auction Arms.

I had a Winchester Model 70 featherweight in 22-250 thatwould never shoot under 1.75" with handloads or factories.  Trigger work, rebedding, nothing helped.  Traded it for a Ruger 77 in 25-06 and that gun has killed a lot of prairie dogs to antelope and deer.  It was a good trade,,,,,,,,,for me.

Well its to my regret that I havent sold it, but back in Arkansas, I have a Sendero in 7mm Ultra Mag that I just absolutley hate. I was blinded by the fluted barrel, the fancy spiderweb stock and the velocity of the chambering.  But alas, it was too heavy, too flashy, too costly to shoot and I wasnt all that impressed with the 7UM. Worst 1000 bucks I have ever spent.
