Two more sets in on two new ridges today. Very open timber, made very visual stimulating sets to draw from a distance.

Started to get little quiet on the line. Lack of snows making it hard to find the pockets of animals. I'm going to head to a completely different area tomorrow to broaden my range.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Another red today in a snare. We really need snow. Also put in 6 more footholds and 3 more snares.

Out checking few more sets. Got this guy, very prime red. Sorry for bad cell pic. Also put a great 120 in shooting in under the ice with mink tracks all around.

I know you guys can't use snares but seems like I'm having a problem with my mico locs this season. They are not staying locked. He was a perfect neck catch but the snare kept slipping. I think I will have to go back to cam locs next season.

I never did like cam locks. I would think you would have problems with freeze ups with them. Maybe not in the weather it looks like you are getting in recent pictures.
Personally I liked small L locks I made myself.

Very strange year up here. Should have a foot of snow at least if not 2 or 3 on the flats. With that said its been in the singles and negatives everyday. Very cold!

Dang that is a fatty. Some good eats there ;)
I had a rat eaten up pretty bad one time and what looked like mink tracks around it. Ever have that happen?
