Great buck. He had his Frankenstein eyebrows on for the Halloween party.   :chuckle:

The eyebrows are pretty funny  :chuckle: Now who can shoot a deer with a unibrow  :yike: :chuckle:

It is cool that they gave you another tag. You made the right choice

They should have given you the horns from the first one not like they are going to do anything with them.  Crazy and cool story, like the brows too!

Very interesting, gross, but interesting.  Kinda like getting a nice king with tapioca disease but much worse.

Congrats on the successful day.

I tried like hell to get him to let her keep the horns.  :'(

Last year my youngest son killed a WT doe that had a large baseball sized abcess under the skin near the front shoulder.  While skinning it, the abcess basically exploded a light green goo all over the hide and meat and it reeked horribly.  We all nearly threw up!  The deer was shown to a WDFW Officer friend of mine and he recommended that it not be eaten.  The deer was turned over to him but we didn't think of asking for a new tag. Sounds like we could have asked for and received a new tag.  I will keep this in mind if anything similar happens again.

Ate the tenderloin from the second buck last night.  :EAT: She made the right choice for sure. It is a great tasting deer.

Congrats to both of you on a great day of hunting! Nice bucks! To bad she did not get to keep the first set of antlers. did the officer mention an auction or anything to try to buy them back?

I asked he told me no. He said it would just go into the dead pit.
