I like Google Earth.  Google Earth is no charge, and you can get detailed satellite images of your hunting areas, along with topographic information and lots more.

You can download Google Earth by typing     download Google Earth      at     www.google.com

Once installed, consider making some changes to your display :

      (1) Display Precise Latitude and Longitude Coordinates
Click     View    at the upper left hand corner of your screen
Click      Status Bar      and latitude and longitude coordinates will now display on the lower left hand corner of your screen

(2)Display a grid overlay, and approximate latitude and longitude coordinates
Click      View   at the upper left hand corner of your screen
Click     Grid         and approximate coordinates appear on your screen

(3)Higher resolution will give you more accurate images of your hunting area
Click    Options   at the upper left hand corner of your screen
Choose    Set Terrain Quality to High        and   Detail Area Large      and Enjoy

You can pay to subscribe to Google Earth's GPS Service.  Has anyone had luck with this service?

You should also consider installing Microsoft Virtual Earth.  Google Earth does not do a good job of Mt. Rainier, and you will need Virtual Earth to make up for Google Earth's satellite images.

I use Google Earth, it seems to work pretty well. Some Montana spot are a little fuzzy though
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

Not much of a fan, use them for roads and some areas I know havent changed, too much looging going on here where I hunt and it isnt updated enough.I have looked at areas to check out and hunt then get there and half the mountain has been logged off.Better off just heading up and scouting by what you see
