Still need my first
« on: November 15, 2012, 11:19:07 PM »
Well so far this has been a good year. Got out for my first ever hunt in early season and had deer all around me. Can attest that this will be a lifelong passion. Have yet fill a tag or shoot but just being outside in the stillness is beyond amazing. What a great sport.

Will be taking the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off after Thanksgiving and going out to try and get a deer. Don't have a late season spot yet due to family stuff and work getting hot and heavy but if nothing else its just some gas money and time in beautiful country. Here's wishing everyone a good late season and fingers are crossed that beginners luck is real.

Thanks everyone for sharing your cool stories and pictures.

I was wondering how your season was going. Its awesome you found this sport and it fits you. My buddy was the same way. He came from a hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing family but always felt a void and was curious about hunting. He took it on himself and started hunting. Rifle wasnt his thing so he went to archery and absolutely loves it. Im sure ull do fine and you've already realized its not about killing an animal, just a chance to get out in the woods and do what man has done for thousands of years.  Your the kind of hunter we need in the woods
