What should I do?
« on: November 28, 2012, 07:17:42 AM »
So I go out to my ground blind and find wrappers from a granola bar and water bottle.
What would you do?    Using the blind is one thing ,but contaminating the area is another. From my understanding I am the only one with permission to be hunting this land.So if they are trespassing that's one thing ,but using my  blind is another.

I am not a *censored* and really have no problem sharing the land.but if they are not suppose to be there then what?

Maybe leave a note? I would hate to have them destroy my ground blind.

I had someone using my ground blind this year too, but they didn't leave any garbage. They left 2 out of the 3 windows wide open, and the door in the back was halfway unzipped. I was done using it for the year when I found it like that, so it was no big deal, I just took it down.

If I were you I'd be looking for another location, hopefully a little more secluded where they won't find it.

You said that you were the only with permission to hunt there.  The trash could have been left there by the land owner.
I would not leave the blind there over night.

Nope the land owner is a little old lady and setting the blind up
And letting it acclimate is what I have always done. The thing is it is a bit of a hike just to get to it.

I would talk to the landowner... I am sure he would like to know if someone is trespassing on his property, and if it happened to be him in am sure he will let you know. I would rather known someone was trespassing, I have several people that hunt some of my property, my only 2 rules are leave no trash and tell other people to leave the property and let me know so I can keep an eye on it. Good luck to you!

Madhatter

As for the guys with blinds that other guys are using. I'd say you both should consider yourselves lucky that no one stole your blinds!
