To those whom don't want to go don't. I'd be fine if people decided to just not do it. But I am not OK with Government Officials whom are sworn to uphold the State Of Washington and Federal Constitution deciding they know better.

I see the round about way this thread is being steered to support gun registration. I'd doubt a poll would support such a move. But, who knows?
That. Did I read it wrong? The way I read this is that it is gov't ran.
[/quote]

No, Government Officials and the News claim there are no rules to gun shows and it is the wild west. That is not so. That was my point. Posters have been saying anyone, felons can go in and buy guns and dump them. It is not so. In the WAC for sure it is not so.

I think what Jay is saying is that if the people decide they dont want gun shows, that's fine but he doesnt want gov't deciding for us.
Jay--correct me of I'm wrong.

Ok, that makes sense. I just didn't read it that way.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but this whole WAC thing.seems like a bit of a scam. Charging me money for the "right" to do something I can do for free anywhere else.

Come on man! How is the event even going to happen without some form of dues collected at multiple points. Rent out a collosal event center, pay the lights and heat, advertising on all the radios.....  You gotta pay to play!

$35 a year is a great deal if you hit up a couple of shows a year. Protected from the environment, organized event with any one there wanting to buy or sell having in their possession a concealed pistol license. Not a single felon in the bunch buying or selling, just legit straight up guys.  You are not going to find conditions like this anywhere else.

If someone sees a person not following the rules, turn them in. Protect the event.

Sorry Ice, I disagree. Now I have never been to one, but from what I am seeing here its a waste of money. And the best way to pay for the event center is the same as any other "fair or show". If you want a table or booth you rent it.

They do have a table fee.

It is a waste of your money in your opinion. Do you pay a fee to go to the sportsmans show?

So correct me if I'm wrong!! But the sellers have to buy a table space that's even if they don't sell anything. But then on the honor system they are also required to pay a part of what they make as well. As a commission
I guess that's why I quit sitting on the other side of the table many years ago!!

Ok, sorry I missed the part about if you join you don't have to pay entrance fees anymore. I just noticed that which negate's most of my question about the whole thing. But the whole thing still sounds like a win win for the WAC. Seems like they are double dipping.

That's why they charged what is called Admissions!!!  I pay to access the event!!

And in the case of any WAC sponsored event, your admission fee is your yearly membership fee. Real simple.

You are wrong.

$9 to walk in. You may not have a weapon. You may not purchase a firearm
$35 to be a member. You must be active CWP or pass a background check. You must follow rules regarding firearm transactions. Some people are FFL. To buy from them you must go through NICS. Last I was there you could sell a weapon on your body to another member. I don't know if that is still the case.
$50 for a table. You must be a member to rent a table. You can only sell to members.
This is from memory. If an active member knows of changed rules let me know.  :dunno:

once again!!I pay an admissions fee which allows me to access the event. I do have a CCl and I see a item I want and I chose to purchase it from a dealer! He does a Backround on me this should be a done deal!! No membership dues at all.

Also if I purchase from a dealer and I have all my ducks in a row why do I have to pay this membership?

Yes, but look at it this way. It is true that we do not want guns going to bad people. This "club" for $35 allows members to identify other members to exercise a lawful transaction in a reasonably safe and lawful manner. It is not the way the news reports it. It is not the way gun grabbers present the case. And that is because they are liars.

And the best part for the good guys is if you don't like it, ya don't have to do it.  :)
