nice looking display piece, not a fan of case hardening think it would look much better being polished with the engraving and gold inlay

People are actually bidding on it!

That was my thought! :yike:

I thought that maybe the $50k was just the reserve price. That's actually what it's up to with 112 bids!

 :dunno: Whats the big deal?
Thats the SHOT show gun... Its for charity. They aren't buying the gun, they are buying the prestige of winning the auction. If I remember right, last year it was a 100 year aniversary 1911 that went for $80K.

Usually a large corp wins the auction and the gun ends up in the CEOs office or the company lobby.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

This rifle looks like it should be on a table in front of a deposed dictator as he's paraded in front of the cameras?

Not bad for $136,024 :mgun2:
It's better to have a gun and not need it than to need one and not have it.                                                                             Local 66 sheetmetal workers
