I've been kind of all over the map on elevation. I've hunted (scouted) closer to Sultan and the Lake Rosinger area so far. Until I see peels or fresh sign I'm going to keep moving and learning. Been out once with D-Rock and Stang and they pointed out a look of good information. Jrebel...if you got some hot leads please feel free to invite yourself along. I'll buy afterwards.

Ed....pm me your cell and I'll be able to call with a report instead of PM...may work better.

Don't know if I have any hot leads, but I use to live in Gold Bar and spent a lot of time in the hills.  It has been 5 years so I don't know how grown up it has gotten.  I was over last week and there a quite a few newer clear cuts down low that cannot be bad.  I'll pm you an area that would be worth looking at in your travels.  It is behind a locked gate so a decent hike will ne necessary, but most will not go there and we have seen lots of bears in there.

Good Morning folks. Had a nice drive and some walking yesterday. Man...what a beautiful evening to be out and about. We explored a different section up by Lake Rosinger. The best place we walked was an older spur road that was still fairly open. There were a ton of old peels and maybe....slight maybe...a few trees that had been tested. It looked like there were a few scratch marks with sap running down the tree. It was not same day fresh but didn't look very old. Did find this one big pile of poo. I'm fairly sure this is bear. It looked very fiberous and was defenitly not from a horse. However...big ol pile it was. Of course I took a pic.

Ok RT, what the hell is beets?

Garden type, or wild kind?

Or is that a spring bear pooh plug?

Nah...the beets thing is just Rt messing with me...all in good fun. I imagine we will see beets mentioned on and off in a few threads.

I did talk with Lokidog last night and gave him a scouting report. He is out and about as we speak scouting and having a look around.

He's just trying to derail H20's thread  :pee:

From the looks of that pile, you're onto something good  Has your key worked for all the gates so far?

Yes...so far the key has worked in all the gates I've tried. Granted...I've only used it on three but plan to keep exploring. Until I've got bears on cam or find fresh peels or have a sighting I'm going to just keep on the move, learn, share my reports with a couple of guys that have the tag and are sharing with me...that kind of thing.
