Thanks for comments guys, I do have some good cougar hunting and we are licensed wolf guides, but gladly we do not have a lot of wolves in my area, you are far more likely to kill a cougar than a wolf. If you mainly want a wolf hunt I can recommend another outfitter my son works for and does wolf hunts for. My son has found wolves and has had shot opportunities on every wolf hunt but the killing part is tough. Wolves are rapidly getting smarter in Idaho now that they are being hunted, they do not just stand and look at you, when you get the opportunity you have to get set up quick and take the shot before they are on the move again. Plus long shot opportunities is getting to be more the norm so practice shooting at 400 and 500 yards to increase your odds and practice getting set up quickly for a shot. These wolves will often stop for a moment and look back, but if you take more than a few seconds they are gone. If you don't have a gun to shoot long range, my son does have a gun set up for that kind of shooting. Send me a pm if you want more info. Good luck where ever you go!
