The 3's are cool though if you can afford them. They have a better stock case. They just a tad smaller,  They shoot 1080 in 120fps. Few other little things but other then that there's not much of a difference for 100$ more.

For mounting it in the boat I would get it up high. Mine was about 6.5' up in the air for that video.

The GoPro3 White looks plenty capable of getting the job done.

Hey my :twocents: on it, if you're not going to get the Hero3 black edition - get the Hero2. It has the same specifications of the Hero3 Silver but slightly larger. You save a lot of money for the same quality video (and better quality than the White).

I really need to get my gopro out and about this summer. I bought it for helmet action on the snowmobile but i'm not the best with the computer and editing stuff so it's pretty much sat in the box since the first season i had it out. I have a hero 2 with some accessories. Maybe we need a gopro thread to share some tips and tricks. I have an RC plane i really want to mount it in too.

Cool video too Antler. You've inspired me to start messing with mine again.

There is a gopro thread. Im the unofficial gopro go-to guy. Ill try to find it and bump it.
