That's what do they are not so smart in the yard but get smart again when they get in the woods.
The bird I shot yesterday only had acorns and greens and some yellow flowers in his craw
I feel a little guilty when I shoot one with full of cracked corn
I feed em whole corn so the little birds don't eat it

That's a two edged sword
Fun to have them around but not sure if I'd want all that turkey chit around my house and yard.

I might feed em in the winter
Not because there pets just to get numbers up there is alot of turkeys this year
All the birds you see in my yard roost and spend 99 percent of there life on huntable property

Very nice. Looks like your own game management is working.

Umm... I think there is a new (and possibly really obscure) rule for Hunt WA... you MUST put your precise location in your profile so that others know how far away you live when attempting to buy tools. I know, it doesn't apply to this thread, but I don't want you to get in trouble with any of the profile location nazis.

Beautiful birds and photos! Your helping them during the winter must be helping them. Hope you get a chance to show us some pix of hens and chicks.
They look like Rios to me. What general area do you live in?
