Received a phone call today from forest service ... They have my camera... They removed the camera , because they are going to do a prescribed burn. Still not pleased for all the hoops I had to jump thru to recover it.
Suggestion. Send them an empty box with return address label and postage. Lot less expensive then gas. I'd include a $5 Starbucks card for their trouble. They thought they were doing the right thing and at least you're getting the camera pack. Mother always said you catch more flies with honey.
I'd rather it been left the hell alone! Nobody did me any favor taking it down. Now I gotta find away to get it. 2 hr drive! My last trip up I was there to pull it down. If it got burned it gets burned and that's on me, but I highly doubt it woulda been effected with a prescribed burn and where it was. I'm not the only one who feels the same way over this issue. Many on here have texted me over this issue.

Instead you're getting your camera back that you probably spent $100+ on. Sorry, but I don't feel sorry for you. You're getting your camera back, it didn't get incinerated, the guys thought they were doing a good deed and you continue to trash on them. I'll never understand people like you. Maybe they were doing what they thought what was a good deed, maybe maybe someone thought they scored a cam and planned on keeping it.
