Any chance they rode in from their own property? Should be easy to locate them if so.
No one way in and out(bluff behind the camera)all public property.

One of these days someone is going to get caught in the act and the fight will be on. Hope the cam is on and catches the action.

4-Wheeler, huh?  I think I'd be hiding a camera better and dumping a bunch of roofing nails on the trail....  >:(  Even if he's not the culprit, anyone that lazy deserves a few flat tires!  :chuckle:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

[/quote Iam going to ask the welder at work to make me some nail strips that are small and easy to hide.I have a old camera that dont work and Iam going to put it in the same place and hide the nail strips In the grass.
I do hide most of my cameras but the way the critters come around the bluff i needed it waist hi and pointed at the trail they come from the mistake on my part was you could see the side profile from where they turn around.

So you're going to place nail strips on public property?  And post about it?  That's real smart.

Maybe its your own fault for not hiding your property better before driving off and leaving it in a public place for so long.  Now your gonna be the a$$h@%# when innocent people drive across a nail trap. Thats not right. Makes you the bad guy.  Just hide your cam better and count it a lesson learned.
When i go to the woods i dont appreciate the idea of a bunch of cameras being hidden taking pictures of me.  Others probably feel similar. I can see where someone might take it or destroy it. Are there laws protecting your camera in public after you abandon it there?

No one abandons a cam when they leave it no more than they abandon their car when they park it.

Try leaving your rifle leaning against a tree for a week on a public trail and see how long it lasts.

Can you be certain it wasn't the bear?  I have had one stolen by a bear.  They seem to love camera's, if you don't believe me check my trail camera video with the bear and 3 cubs.

You may be right. But This place we are taking about is about a mile from any legal road you can ride on(I walk in)The state bar pits all the old roads and pull brush and trees across the old road to keep for wheelers off these old roads. But you guys are probably right the nail stip may not be a good idea Iam just pissed about losing my camera to adirt bag that isnt supposed to be there anyway.
