Interesting... I see why you guys are saying what you're saying now.  Wonder what the actual intent of that 40# law is, then, and why it applies to salmon only?

Salmon is food fish and it is traditional to go stock up a supply.  Say you spend 2 weeks fishing in La Push, you are allowed to bring home 2 days limit of fresh fish and 40 pounds frozen, canned, smoked etc.  Makes the trip worthwhile.

According to Enforcement in Olympia, the 40 pound and possession limit only applies at the camp site, and on the boat. Not at home.

I better get out there before you catch all the area 2 quota. 
We end up with about the same. I think we are gonna lay off the rock fish s little this year, we just end up with to much, friends don't seem to mind much.

With the larger boat this year, I feeling alittle better about were I fish  The 15 footer was starting to feel a little tight
