Nervous no longer.
« on: August 06, 2013, 07:43:48 PM »
Being new to the hunter side of archery, my nerves have been on edge for about a week concerning letting my first broad heads fly. Besides having those razor's so close to my hand I was concerned it would be a whole new learning curve, and lots of adjustments on the bow to  make  them shoot like my field points. All worry is gone, I honestly think they shoot better then my field points. I took them out to 40 yards today gradually, and I am happy to say I kept all arrows less then 2" of my  1" bullseye. Denton at Rock Creek was on the money building these for me, they fly remarkably well . He said their would be little to no difference, he was right . From start to finish, Bow, sight, arrows, etc he's got me set perfectly. I don't speak the language all to well yet but these were pro hunters 5575's with slick trick 100 grain broad head s 400 spine. Confidence building.

Adahy, good to hear your getting dialed in, I know what you mean on the broad heads I heard a lot of tuning horror stories but I was glad when I didn't have to much trouble with mine. Did I see you out mountain biking Monday in King county?

That was me. I saw fresh signs of your critter over on the other side, looked to be maybe two hours old. They must eat all grass this time of year cause there wasn't even any berry seeds in it. I'll keep an eye out for ya

I read to much sometimes and get confused by all the opinions, lots to weed out. That's why I was apprehensive about let'in them fly. Tried to find you wt on a few different threads, nice to have finally met someone from here. You ever need someone to hunt with I ain't to far.
