My how is dialed and ready... 5 broadhead tipped arrows in the quiver and a few more in the case. Ilbe hunting deer sept 1-2 then elk starting the 6th. Need to go this weekend and check my elk cams and trim up my treestand a bit. Cant wait!

Cabin stocked, bow dialed in to my comfort range. Trail cams showing a few legal bulls in the area. I cant wait. My coworkers hate this last week, apparently I dont shut up..  :chuckle:

Good shooting!  Would you shoot an elk at 70 yards? ???

I think it is good to practice out far for two reasons. One is it makes those 30-40 yard shots seem way too easy. Also, if I get an arrow in an animal and he runs a bit and stops at 60 or 70 yards, I would love to be able to try and get another one in him before he gets into the deep, dark, nasty stuff.  :tup:

Ive seen the boy shoot....I'd bet a gentlemans dollar he could make the shot. the force is strong with this one.

I didn't mean that 70 yards was an unethical shot and I was just curious if he would or not.  I also shoot way further than average distances in practice than I would in the woods. 

After a few groups at 60 or more and then stepping in to 35, it's way easier.  I think I would shoot at a broadside elk at 60, not a whitetail though.

For the record, D-Rock you are a much better shot than I

Ill take a 60 yard shot on a elk and 70 if its calm and relaxed and know the exact range
