Oregon law lets city ordinances pass stricter gun laws then what State laws allow, at least from my understanding.

I think that this is our saving grace in Washington.  The cities can't, they have tried though.

Leaves me speechless -  displeased - but not surprised at the creative and collective stupidity of large liberal based populations.
Perhaps they should install 'gun free zone' signs at each street corner to prevent criminals from carrying guns also.

so much for open carry for defence, or concealed carry huh?
Wait a minute please so I can load my gun please!
Disarmament in the worst way. Lots of victims on this if they abide. Guess dont abide huh?
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Is there any recourse for the citizens of Portland to get this obviously poor ruling overturned?  I imagine not.  It's worse than NY City's law restricting firearms to be loaded with no more than 7 bullets.  It is simply unbelievable......... :o

So if you get held at gun point, "Hang on! I've got a gun. Let me put the bullets in!"

I guess I should have read the article before I posted.

The lawyer who wanted Portland’s restrictions overturned said Friday he might appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Hopefully it is appealed to the US Supreme Court.

well that is a solution, but unfortunate if we surrender that right to carry the y will only move to take more away from citizens. I think it is wise to wear a seat belt and a helmet when riding a motorcycle, but think it is wrong to make some one do it.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I wouldn't call it a "solution," but rather a work-around.

This is why we need to split the American population ...Let all liberals move into the cities and they can make all the laws they want that suit themselves ...and let the country folks live there life they want and make their own rules .... :dunno: :chuckle: sounds good doesn't it !! :dunno:

OK its a personal band-aid to make the situation workable until people pull their head out.
