It's amazing what a difference 6 months makes. They are giving them away now. If they would just get some .45 cal Xdm magazines(13 round), I would be happy.

Don't people complain about Tikkas having plastic mags?

I still have not paid more the $10 for an AR mag.

That's buisness, capitalism, the American way. Free trade, ones free to make their money and spend it as they please. Ones free to purchase and sell at any price they please. I can purchase a Handgun at two different places in town and pay the same price. I can go to a third shop and pay a 100.00 bucks more than the other two. Common sense leads me to purchase the same handgun at a lesser price but some still purchase for a 100.00 bucks more than the other two shops. That's the great thing about the freedom we enjoy. To each their own.

Guys wanted them now, were serious with a fist full of cash. Made the purchase of their own free will, were glad to have them in hand and could afford it.😉 VERY profitable and well worth the effort. Gotta love Amercia!

agreed hammer
I just know that I will remember the places that drastically inflated their prices in a crisis, and I will go elsewhere. also the beauty of free trade. nothing wrong with asking what people will pay, but I just don't want to do business with those types.
I do realize prices go up with demand, but some of it was ridiculous... :chuckle:

Agreed, but $49 for a pmag?? That's silly, along with guys asking $1 per round for 223! One online company comes to mind immediately..one company I would never do business with!

Not near as high as some. One place in particular, loyals guns, was at hi way robbery prices for a long time..along with many others. There is market demand, and there was gouging. Have a hard time with those who decry high pricing, then mark their product even higher then the competitors....we had pmags at a high of $29 at one point, back when they were hard to get the hands on. 223/5.56 was at .75 a round at one point also. Not near as high as the other local stores, contrary to what some may claim....

Let's cool it guys, everyone can charge what they want.

What concerns me is a few members following each other around to take jabs at each other. This is a final warning, the next guy who takes a poke at another member in this little group will take 3 days off, if you've been banned before then it will be longer than before.

I'm not joking and informing the mods to take action on the first of you to poke at the other.

Purchased a Glock 23 Gen 4 yesterday 519.00 at Hooked on Toys. I was quoted 599.00 for the same handgun at High Mountain hunting supply today, they didn't have one in stock. High Mountain did have a gen 3 Glock  23 for 549.00. Stan's down the street had a Glock 23 Gen 4 for 569.00. It pays to shop around.

The money saved on the handgun price(80.00) compared to others. Covers new Kydex for it or ammo and spare mags.

I've looked at their site but their price is higher than most. I'm in no huge hurry, just like AR's, I will wait until things get back to normal to make my purchase.

As far I know Magpul NEVER raised the dealer list price of their mag's! So for shops to say they did is just not right. Along those lines are $5 Korean made mags that were selling for $50 each  :bdid:. Your right it's a free market but it's time for everyone to say what you did was wrong and you knew it, and avoid them. Let's see if there gouging keeps them in business. There are shops in this state that will NEVER get my money.

I went to a gun show and saw even higher prices than in any stores. It was a sellers market, sort of like when we had runaway real estate prices.  :dunno:

Snocohunter, I took that into consideration and checked his post time. It was more than 10 minutes after I made the post, plus I had already sent pm's to him and another member. He and I had exchanged messages and then he made that post. Mountainman can confirm that he received a message addressed to both him and hammer prior to hammer's post in which I asked them both to back off, I warned them both in the same message.

This ban is in place and staying, several other mods have reviewed it and said they agree 100% with the ban.
