Well was out yesterday morning... sitting in my spot before light. Extremely excited to hear some chirps answering my calls! Light was coming up and we called back and forth. Calls getting louder now - busy clearing my shooting windows, maneuvering, getting ready... And then... I saw the source of those mews and chirps! Another hunter stalking up poked his head out just as surprised as me!
Oh well. I guess its a compliment - hopefully my calling fools actual elk!
