cool, I just got my first lab he is about 4 months old, seems like he has the motivation, I can get him to retreive balls and such. I never trained a bird dog before and sure would appreceate any advice.congrats to you and yours.

miah ..... I live in Colville and have some great Training DVD's... Also during the spring and summer month's theres a small group of us that get together every sunday and train together that your welcome to join.

he's eatin that maximum puppy chow. seems to be good for him. he sure is a fireball, seems like I really got a ton of work to do. Kinda wonder what a trainer would charge? however I also would like to keep a good one on one relationship with him, and probebly wouldn't afford the trainer.. It would be interesting though to see him on some live birds like you said.

Make sure your feeding him the "Large Breed Puppy Food" untill he's about a year oold... then switch him to adult feed.
Pro Trainers around here would run you about $650.00-$750.00 a month plus the cost of birds. You'll get much more satisfaction doing it yourself.
