Colt LE 6920
« on: September 16, 2013, 03:13:47 PM »
Ok so I admit I went out and bought an AR15 without thinking too much about it and kinda got on the craze of "lets by an AR cause".

What I want is advise on whether or not to sell/trade it. I ultimatly want a coyote guy and my AR has alot to do to get it there. Like trigger upgrades, free float barrel and decent mounts for the scope (I have a burris PEPR quick disconnect) Everything on the rifle is stock except I replaced the handguards so I could install a Surefire I got for free.

I already have a 22-250 Rem 700 so I could just put my effort and some money into it. but I also like having an AR because of the AR craze.

They were selling for $2500-$2700 during the craze.  Most everyone who wanted one has one now, you won't be able to get anything near what you paid for it.  Colt's hold their value better then any other AR.  I would say hold on to it, kind of like a savings plan.

So are you thinking maybe getting a new upper, I decided I like how nice chrome cleans up and I am looking at getting a chromed lined barrel and chamber. I would really like to get a better trigger and grip too.

With current events I think I'm gonna hold on to it, also my PMags as well.

All Colt LE 6920 weapon systems come from the factory with a chrome lined barrel. I agree that they hold their value as well. As far as a coyote gun, I'm sure you could use it for such but feel that your 22-250 would be better suited for that task due to its inherent range abilities.

I agree that it's a good call to hold on to it. They are fun  ;)
