I was going to make a trip up the road and fish this river for first time ever fishing a river. Only fished the small ponds before. After seeing that tribal members are picky about this river what side am I legally allowed to  fish? The Shelton side or the Hoodsport side? I was planning on going up stream of the 101 bridge before the power lines on hoodsport side to avoid combat fishing. Would I be ok with that or no? Also any pointers on how to fish rivers would be greatly appreciated.

you can go upstream of 101, just be aware that it's closed to salmon fishing up there.  the skoks only own the land to the high water mark on the reservation side.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Can you walk downstream from 101 and stay in the water then?  When did all this come about?
