I have AT LEAST 30 SPOTS FOR QUAIL AND i WON'T GO BACK TO THE SAME ONES UNLESS THERE IS A LARGE AMOUNT OF QUAIL THERE. I HAVE TO BE A FOOL IF I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE HUNTING THESE SPOTS. I have a good dog and can shoot 60-80% over points in fairly open country.  I won't over shoot any place I hunt but have no control as most of my spots are publice or known by locals. I only had one bad day when I didn't shoot well but I had a few days that produced only 2-4 birds. I had one 30 bird 3 day weekend, my first in a real long time and a few 8 bird days or my average would have been a lot worst. I think its a better quail year than last year but spotty.
If I can do 1/3 as well on chukars I'd be real happy. Need to put some time in before the snow makes them too hard to hunt or get to.
