Going price for 556?
« on: March 31, 2014, 07:02:02 PM »
What's a good price for 556 ammo? I've been doing  some looking and have found some being about 4.4 cents per round after tax, which is alittle over $8 for a box of 20, American eagle brand.   Anyone know of any good places to buy it online? Brands to avoid? Not interested in Tula.

Thanks

Stay away from Global Arms ammo, they work the gun local shows.
They are claiming "once fired brass factory reloads", but the stuff is complete junk and probably dangerous.
I'm pulling apart the 500 I bought for components, I won't shoot it.

Don't you mean 44 cents a round.  That's about as good as your gonna get.

Try: www.greaternwammunition.com 760-222-8338 Paul Z Cassel is the owner. It's ARMSCORP ammo and is made in Stevensville Montana.

I'm going to buy 1000 rounds of 10mm JHP for right around $375 if I pick it up in Spokane.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I just got 500 rounds of Federal Brown Box XM193 from lucky gunner for $194 shipped. It was $175 before shipping, for what that's worth.

Sold out currently, but here's the link I used. It comes back in stock sporadically.

Thank you PNW for the link. At $200 it moved really fast, I just had some guys ask me to hold it at that price so that's what took a little bit to get it sold.

I saw that happen in real time on SGN.  It wasn't pretty.  I don't know how it is now, but I am leery.

My dad got some at a gun show and gave me some, even after I warned him. I'll be tearing down at least some to check charge consistency before I shoot it.

You're very welcome. Always try to send people links to help out if it's something someone is looking for.

Those guys got a pretty good deal!

This looks like some quality yotie/plinker stuff.44 cents a whack, similar bullet type and weight made by Fiocchi and American Federal shoot awesome in my savage bolt guns.LAXammo.com has the Fioochi in a 200 round ammo can for .45 cents, unless you subtract the 10 bucks the can is worth.Comes in boxes of fifty inside the ammo can. 90 bucks per 200 which I thought was a good deal,Lucky gunner claims that ammo is regular 175 per 200,they have it now for 105 per can on sale.
